The kit comprises of two modules: the transmitter is connected to the circuit, and the receiver easily detects the signal in the wires or cables behind walls, ceilings and floors.
The simple, one-button operated AT-6010-TE transmitter module works on circuits up to 600V AC/DC in Category I through Category III electrical environments, allowing for work directly on an energised circuit without the need to take equipment offline. The AT-6010-RE receiver module features a large LCD screen with an energised/de-energised indicator, a two digit readout and a bar graph indicating signal strength, a sound indicator to easily determine wire location, and sensitivity adjustment. In hard-to-reach areas, the receiver’s tip sensor can be used to trace wires in corners, tight spaces and junction boxes.
The transmitter features high signal mode for general tracing and a loop mode designed specifically for locating shorts, as well as two optimal tracing frequencies that are automatically activated based on the detected voltage.
The Beha-Amprobe AT-6010-EUR Advanced Wire Tracer Kit can also be used for the following applications:
- Connected to RCD-protected circuits
- Finding breaks and opens
- Finding shorts
- Tracing wires in metal conduit
- Tracing shielded wires
- Tracing underground wires
- Tracing low voltage wires and data cables
- Sorting bundled wires
- Mapping a circuit with test leads
- Tracing breakers on a system with light dimmers
The AT-6010-EUR is also compatible with the Beha-Amprobe CT-400-EUR Signal Clamp accessory for inducing a tracing signal on the cable when there is no access to bare conductors.
The AT-6010-EUR is one in a series of AT-6000-EUR Advanced Wire Tracer Kits.
